Thats insane. I was actually reminiscing about that game last week wishing they would bring it back in a free to play model. Its not F2P, but you get access to it if you sub to AC1. Still a very VERY tempting deal!

Lots of wild speculation as to why Turbine brought this back up. (On one server from what I read). Best sounding guess: testing the waters to gauge interest in a AC3 possibility. Whatever the case, this really shocked everyone. I remember some seriously late nights playing AC2. Machines now should be able to run the game with no sweat at all. There are still some niggles with AA on certain AMD/ATI cards reported on the forums over there, so if you are running a AMD/ATI card and have crashes, that's why.
