It's a sign of the apocalypse: Enlightenment E17 has been released. After 12 years in development (almost as long as Duke Nukem Forever) it's finally available as stable release.

17 years ago it was going to be amazing, even 10 years ago it was a damn cool piece of interface. Today... it's a bit dated... time has runout on them and everyone else has passed them by.

Agreed. Personally I don't think it looks any better than Ubuntu's default interface.

I actually think it functions quite well and had a good amount of customization options. Too bad it is still extremely ugly...

Well, it's been stable for a while. I've used it in Bodhi Linux several times.

I 'd prefer Unity, KDE, or Gnome over this.But thank you E17 dev. you gave us another choice.
