I picked up a x64Hp from 06 and when i boot no keyboards will work until ive booted in. i cant boot menu cant get bios. i have to reset with cold start then the changed bios will boot directly in no f1 or f2 if i get to press any key to install or into xp keyboards are fine. Ive tried 3 boards 1 will work sometimes. i have to get into bios ! help ?

Try a different keyboard? Try different USB slots?

If they are USB keyboards, enable "Legacy USB support" in the BIOS using a PS/2 keyboard first

Do those 3 keyboards work in other systems?

This is most time related to BIOS, you have to update it although in case of MSI board, their update made my keyboard useless so I have to downgrade.

I suggest you to update BIOS before doing you so do what @Detection said you to do.
