Shaga Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 Here is the situtaion, i have installed XP OS on C drive for more than 2 years, i recently installed win 7 on D drive & 8 on E drive to have to test them out. Now i need to remove them from my system. Question: if i formated the D and E drives will XP fall down ? Do i need to make changes to the boot file before formatting? xdot.tk Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 Here comes the XP haters with misinformation. :rolleyes: Shaga, you can format the or just delete the folders from a booted up XP and you still be able to boot up XP. Just make sure C is your first boot item. If you need to change it just Google EasyBCD. And don't ever delete the Boot folder and other boot files from the root of C.
