I can now report, Kings Hill had loads of the white stuff yesterday.

I would say, 4 inches.

I will look forward to wearing my snow/gardening boots today.

Had about 3-4 inches where I live, but as I was walking to work (3 miles) the nearer I got to work the deeper it became, finishing at 5-6 inches in places.

Forecast is for 3 days of snow, with an Amber warning in place for NE UK

And we just had a 20 second power cut which only generally happens during thunder storms..... its clear outside though, wonder if that is a sign we have something big on the way

We still have a lot of snow here in Birmingham. Its just not going. We are meant to be getting more heavy snow tomorrow evening but then a lot of rain over the weekend which should wash the snow away.

There are still some bad roads around, but the main roads are fine now.

Yeah a couple the side streets near my house are still quite slippery (damn snow turning into compacted ice), but the main roads are basically bone dry now for us.

Getting warmer in the SE this weekend so snow should be gone down here by Sunday. We are forecast more tomorrow but it's looking like it will just turn to rain now.

We were in for some 20cm of snow yesterday, but we got a lot of rain instead. Which is good because it washed a lot of the snow away since none of the snow had gone since last weekend.
