Participate in this year's Speedtest.net Speed Wave!

You can also earn "achievements" in which you can compete with other participants e.g. the fastest uploader will get the 1UP achievement.

Join a speed wave:

Neowin.net 2013 Speed Wave: Click Me

Help:

Open up the link, create an account if not already got one (optional), and then "Join this Speed Wave".

You will be given the standard Speedtest.net interface on the following page, however all results will be saved to the Wave.

Once you've finished:

Click "Share" and post your result here n this topic if you wish.

If you forgot to click Share, go here and you can generate the image again.

You can also see some nice stats by clicking "More Wave Stats" - on here you can see popular browsers, ISPs, bandwidth used, and badge winners.

Poor result? You can try the test as many times as you like! The competition is on guys!

Have fun guys!

Should have done it before everyone got in but...

I find it incredible that my result looks slow these days. Our average speed is about 50 Mbps right now.

Edit: Okay, so I re-ran it and got a better speed. I'll have to try when a few thousand people didn't just get to work and start getting online.
