They are about the same the Core i3 is slightly faster both CPU and GPU wise.

If the core i3 is only slightly better maybe I will go with the AMD to save the cash.

The i3 draws half the power as well, so you'll have a longer battery life.

interesting good point then for laptop or for monthly electrcity bill.

LOL yea, what tim said. I run my Core i7 iMac at 100% CPU ~20 hours a day for Folding@Home, and the combined CPU usage and fan speeds only knocked the electricity usage up a few dollars over a whole month. The differences between two lower power CPUs under normal usage will be negligible for that.

I remember I upgraded my PSU from 650 -> 850 and many people jumped in "Your energy bill will grow" lol
