I want MMA fights.

Recommended Posts

Hey people..

over the last few months ive been training my muscles and revitalizing my old kick boxing training..

I am a jack of all trades but a master of none so I know dips and dabs of alot of other martial arts but I wanted to get into amateur MMA fighting obviously I spar on occasions with other fighters but that isnt a real fight its all friendly...

I can hold my own, take massive hits and I have good speed and weight behind me... I was just wondering if there were any MMA fighters here who would know where I would start I was obviously thinking I need a few more months working out my technique as its really rough at the moment due to being so long, but I thought I should start looking into it now so i have something to work towards.

edit: forgot to say... this is england, from what I am aware things like this are easier in america.

Ask other fighters and ask whoever runs the gym, or you could just use google and type in "MMA Training in myroom" seeing as thats ur location lol

yea i tried it in my room it just gets lonely :p I have asked the guys at the MMA gym i train at but they withhold info until you take more classes for a long time with them

Thats understandable, they are thinking about your safety i guess besides from the limited info you provided i see you only know how to fight on your feet no judo or take down defense like wrestling might be best to do more training than trying to dive in head first, kickboxing will only help you so far and taking a hit means nothing these days as one hit in the right place and everyone goes down. Im pretty sure any mma fighter will tell you to train for a long time and put in your dues before jumping in.

you make perfect sense, but at the same time I kind of just want to go in and get started I rather take what I know put up a good fight and lose winning isnt important to me.

I know lots of other skills but only parts... I know some defensive judo, a tiny tiny bit of thai boxing, generic boxing and some wrestling holds and pins... obviously not enough to class my self as a fighter in any of them and its just moves I have picked up from training and sparring with people of other disciplines. I just think if I could get one MMA fight I can see what I need to work on ... when I friendly I learn so much of my mistakes and techniques that I think a real fight would do so much more for me even if its just one until I get better lol and bar fights dont count.

This is the thing, while you admit you know "parts" they will of been training for years so know alot more and are more disciplined and im going to guess alot fitter seeing as your just getting back into it all. MMA is a great sport but also a violent one where injury can mean the end of a career or worse (not heard of a death yet but its always possible i have seen legs and arms broke though!) if they were to let people into a cage just because "they" thought they were ready it would mean there were alot more injury's not only that but it would give the sport a bad reputation (Safety first as Dana White says).

As for seeing what you need to work on thats whats sparing is there for oh and of cause friends and other gym members you can discuss what needs to be worked on, work together in slower motion and arrange to improve it. In the cage its fast paced and you woudlnt have a clue till you'd lost the fight or even were injured. So im sorry but im going to have to stick with the professionals on this one and say train more if its something you really want to do, dont forget if they break there arm they have money and can afford to be out of work if you break your arm and are unable to code can you afford it? Maybe you can, but im guessing it would put more train and stress on you than them lol.

haha it would be a very difficult few weeks if i broke a bone in my arm seeing as computing is my bread and butter, I will be trainning for another 6 months before I even try and set up a ring match and it will be a year before i could even get a match .. but it was just something I wanted to start looking into now ... to get me a started and aiming towards something.... im thinking of taking some one to one classes soon as I hate group trainning

Id be the same if im honest id want one on one time with someone rather than a group training it would sink into my brain better i feel plus you can ask more questions on how to improve the technique and what not. Ofc you can still do group training from time to time just to practise on other people and training styles im pretty sure thats what top fighters would do anyhow, as for an aim you can still aim to fight you just need to score one or two other goals before hand how to escape, stay safe and better fitness! (if u need that part).

Anyway good luc with it, MMA is a great sport imo love watching it =)

Unlike other download managers and accelerators, Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process, and it reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve the best possible acceleration performance. Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. All popular browsers are supported IDM integrates seamlessly into Google Chrome, FireFox, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Safari, Internet Explorer, Maxthon and all other popular browsers to automatically handle your downloads. You can also drag and drop files, or use Internet Download Manager from command line. The program supports proxy servers, ftp and http protocols, firewalls, redirects, cookies, authorization, MP3 audio and video content processing. IDM includes web site spider and grabber IDM downloads all required files that are specified with filters from web sites, for example all pictures from a web site, or subsets of web sites, or complete web sites for offline browsing. It's possible to schedule multiple grabber projects to run them once at a specified time, stop them at a specified time, or run periodically to synchronize changes. Easy downloading with one click When you click on a download link in a browser, IDM will take over the download and accelerate it. You don't need to do anything special, just browse the Internet as you usually do. IDM will catch your downloads and accelerate them. IDM supports HTTP, FTP, HTTPS and MMS protocols. Changes in Internet Download Manager 6.43 Build 2: Resolved the problem that caused a "403 Forbidden" error when downloading some files Fixed a problem causing IDM download panel not to appear on some websites Fixed a bug that caused a crash when converting some TS files to MP4 Download: Internet Download Manager 6.43 Build 2 | 11.9 MB (Shareware) Links: Internet Download Manager Website | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware

There will come a day when the US and China will collide like titans ( over Taiwan or anything else ). Then, on that day, some people in this comment section will realize how good an idea it was to become independent in areas like that. ( Or atleast try )
    • Microsoft Edge gets tons of security features, including AI model that can see your screen by Usama Jawad Microsoft Edge may not be the most popular browser out there, but it does receive quite frequent updates that sometimes bring surprising new features and axe others that are not as popular. Now, Microsoft has detailed some of the new security enhancements that it has introduced in Edge for Business, typically used by commercial customers. Microsoft has emphasized that security features are baked into Edge for Business and offer native integration with security and governance tools like Defender and Purview. Browser sessions are governed by default on managed devices but can also be governed through dedicated work profiles on unmanaged devices. An important aspect in this area is controlling the use of shadow AI. We have talked about this before, but it essentially restricts employees from using unsanctioned AI apps through data loss prevention (DLP) policies, with Edge redirecting them to trusted AI services like Microsoft 365 Copilot. This feature, available as a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) license, ensures that confidential data never exits AI boundaries set by your organization in Purview. Additionally, Microsoft also has strong DLP policies for contractors. Contractors leveraging a Entra ID-joined work profile provisioned by their contracting company on a device managed by their actual employer can be restricted from downloading files locally. In such scenarios, the file is saved on the contracting firm's OneDrive rather than being downloaded locally. Another useful Edge security feature disallows copying and pasting from unmanaged locations and apps. Similarly, DLP policies can be configured at a granular level to restrict screenshots or downloading of files from certain locations. In the same vein, IT admins can block the installation of extensions, hosted apps, themes and scripts, and control if users can install extensions from external locations. They can also enable the installation of specific extensions and allow users to request access to certain extensions, so that they can be managed on a case-by-case basis. Finally, Edge for Business now has an on-device AI model that uses computer vision to see what's on your screen and block potentially malicious content immediately. This does not rely on site reputation, as it simply monitors what is being displayed on your screen, which means that it is effective against malicious content that takes over your screen and employs scareware tactics. Since this is an on-device AI model, it does use your system's resources, so it's enabled by default only on devices with at least 2GB of RAM and four CPU cores. You can find more details in the Microsoft Mechanics video here.
