Is there anything you hate about yourself? About being Human?

Need some wings; this walking around everywhere gets old after a while.

Personally, I hate going to the bathroom to do you know what. I can't stand that part about being Human. I think its nasty.

Would be a lot better with wings. Got a bunch of feathered rats that need some payback for repeatedly messing up my truck. Still nasty, but a bit more satisfying.

The fact that we're still killing each other over stone age delusions that would in rational societies have died out a long time ago. And the fact that we in general are more eager to hate than love.

I am totally against guns. I do not own one nor do I care to own one, but by the same token I have to tell you this:

Guns don't kill people. People kill people.

Hate is a strong word. I guess if anything, I hate that we have such a short life. There's so much to explore and experience, that it's impossible to be completely satisfied. Also sucks knowing that in my lifetime, I probably won't be able to experience the exploration of space such as colonies on the Moon and Mars.

Things I dislike are religion, stereotypes, and discrimination, which cause people to become divided. These are such unnecessary man-made problems that bring all of humanity down a few notches.

I hate knowing that wherever we are, wherever we go, whatever we're doing... there's always an amount of poop inside us. :s

tl;dr - We're always carrying poop around.

(i guess this applies to any kind of breathing/eating kind of life form as well,... but still.... yiuck !!!!)

Evolving really, really slowly. And not being able to absorb genes from other animals. I want eyeballs that can see in the dark, ultra sonic hearing, anti freeze skin and limbs that can grow back. There are some really cool genes out there on other animals :(

That I can't download knowledge. That I have to learn everything.

This.

If life was like The Matrix, life would be amazing. Downloading a pilots license...

Lots of features of the Human body which stop us exploring deep space is something I hate. G-force, radiation...

Is there anything you hate about yourself? About being Human? If so, tell us.

You hate pooping? Come on, man! That is one of the most relaxing parts about being human. Perfect time to answer all those pesky text messages, or to play Angry Birds, Plants vs. Zombies, or finally answer that eighth call from grandma on that day.

Seriously though, I hate the fact that we are mortal. I would be much better suited as an immortal.

when i read the thread title i thought this was about the television program "Being Human"

" If life is so great why are people dieing to get out of it?"

I hate mortality due to human error, ie. me damaging my liver when I was younger, turning yellow and now playing the cirrhosis waiting game

I also hate landlords who are human, especially the type who were family friends until you rented a house from them, then the 1 month you fall short of the rent (After 3 years of paying on time) they give you the option to find somewhere else to live

Two things - aging and frailty. I've always wanted to be a machine, but keeping my irrational, emotional, completely human way of thinking.

"A union of flesh and steel. Strengths of both, weaknesses of neither."

So did you pick the green ending?

Pretty much this. I look at my dog and how easy he is to be pleased. Him just being around me makes him happy.

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
