I've already tried whatthefont and it returned nothing so I'm now having to ask on forums.

Anyone have any idea what font this is?

Probably a custom made font for the web site/magazine.

Klavika Bold is close, but not exact. Perhaps your sample is from a custom version? Looks like the Facebook logo font to me, actually

It kinda looks like a Hermann Zapf font. Identifont didn't find it either. Almost none of the things it asked are in your sample. Is there something else that is printed with it in the magazine perhaps?

EDIT: It's "Fago NS" (custom) created by Ole Schäfer. The non-custom one is available from FontFont.com

So I called them and the answer was 'a modified version of Soho Gothic'.

I know what you mean, somehow feels "wrong". I like the "t" tho.
