Kobo blocking outlook.com users?

I've recently been try to sign up for a Kobo account but haven't been able to as I keep getting a error "email already linked to an account"

the fist level support at Kobo confirm my outlook.com email I'm using is not showing in their system to it went to level 2 to work out why im getting a wrongful error and am being blocked. Level 2 Kobo support sent me this response:

"Thank you very much for contacting Kobo. We are sorry to hear that you have been facing this error message when attempting to create a Kobo Account.

This may be caused by the email itself being outlook. Would you be able to try another email as our system is not compatible with outlook emails.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and look forward to hearing from you again,

Please let us know,

Sincerely,
The Kobo Team"

has anyone else gotten this?
