Ok the basic setup is that I'll be using Server 2003 web edition on an old server (job is being done for a computer charity I volunteer at) and I need to set it up as a basic file server. I'm pretty familiar with how to set up network shares, however I cannot set up file sharing exactly how I want to. What I'm looking to do is allow anyone to remotely access the server (view the list of shares ETC) but to have an admin share that will only be viewable to people with the server's admin password and a public share that anyone, including anonymous users have full access to. The problem that I am having at the moment is that I cannot seem to remember how to stop the OS from asking for a password when a user tries to remotely access the server. and view the list of shares. So in short I don't want the server to ask for a password when remotely accessed to list the file shares, only when a user tries to access the admin share.
So i'd be grateful for any help. Cheers.
