Erm... isnt the time shown the amount of time since the phone was taken off the charger, not the amount of time left in the battery???
Yes. However it's amusing watching them try to figure out why their battery only has 7mins left on a 100% charge
Edit: I figured I'd at least be a little helpful after laughing.
I wouldn't bother using any apps to calibrate. The easiest way to calibrate your battery is to allow it to fully discharged (until it turns itself off), then plug in the charger but
leave the phone off. Charge it 100% while the phone is off. When it hits 100%, unplug it and turn it on. This re-calibrates the battery. This is not something you should do often. It's actually quite rare that your battery will need calibration but this should be done at least once and highly recommended within the first few days of owning the phone (first thing I do with every new phone).
If you'd like to know how much time you have
left on your battery, there a ton of apps that will show you this. Most of them are pretty accurate. Be careful of any of the overly bloated apps that do this as they'll just eat your battery anyway.
