Sorry Apple, the BlackBerry Z10 Is Hotter Than the iPhone

I've always hated BlackBerry phones. Disgracefully ugly bricks they were—until the BlackBerry Z10. The BlackBerry Z10 is hot. Truly beautiful, elegant hardware. If the OS is as nice as it seemed at CES, I will totally snatch one up. These BlackBerry Z10 vs iPhone 5 comparative renders by our friend Martin Hajek are great. Not only because they show off just how beautiful a phone RIM has built, but because they demonstrate why we should still care about BlackBerry. With hardware as lovely as this, it may still have a chance at coming back with a vengeance.

I didn't think RIM could make a white BlackBerry device look good but they did. They've managed to make it look as good as the iPhone 5. It's hard for me to say it looks better. In a way, I guess it does. The overall appearance of the device looks better but only because of what's on the screen. I'm tired of the same old iOS UI. I've seen it back when I first bought an iPod Touch and it still has the same overall look and feel.

You can check out more pictures of the iPhone 5 and BlackBerry Z10 at the link.

Not a bad design at all. I like it better than the iPhone only because it is new and everyone is used to the iPhone. If they both came out at the same time, or around that, then I am sure it would be a diff story.

Yeah, that may be the most common reason people would like the BlackBerry Z10. It's different and naturally, people like something that's different.

They do have some overheating issues....

and one thing about apple.... they are stagnant and boring right now. don't think they are fully complying with the death bed requests from Steve Jobs. I think Steve Jobs had better things planned but Time Cook didn't want to go along with them.

They are not the same since Steve left and it shows.

I think the iPhone's a bit cleaner... but they're so similar.

It's all about the OS, though.

Don't count Apple out all of a sudden. It took Samsung a few years to respond to the changing market.

The UI for BB10 is very impressive. You can check it out here: https://developer.bl...om/design/bb10/

The focus is on gestures. Everything from picking up a call or taking a peak at your notifications is done with gestures. Also, BB10 has a nifty lock screen that can be used to silence the phone and dim the screen. This is great for situations that require your phone to be off like meetings or watching a movie.

With all the improvements made to Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and WP7.5/8, Apple is facing some tough competition.

When I read the title, I thought the BB10 is running hotter than the iPhone 5 lol

I wonder how many accidental presses will happen.. seeing that the screen is so close to the edges

Update: on second thought, it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be

Very nice.
That said, Windows Phone also looks nice and hasn't got very far. I hope BB does, though, for the sake of mankind, so to speak.

Wow, that's impressive! I must say, that design is beautiful, I'm thoroughly impressed.

I hope BB makes a comeback, it's better for the industry, it's better for everyone.

I will check it out as soon as they come to the phone store and see how it goes. If I like it, I will replace my phone with this one in the next few months.

Outwardly the phone isn't that bad looking, what I'm most interested in is the changes they have made to the OS. I absolutely despise the blackberry OS, it feels clunky and needlessly complicated. For RIM's sake BB10 and this new device need to be a welcome departure in all regards.
