I was looking at screenshots of chrome OS and through their transparent launcher at the bottom of the screen is pretty nifty.

Anyone know a way I can make the windows 8 taskbar 100% transparent while keeping the stuff on it opaque?

Thanks :)

I'm interested in learning how to do this as well.

You could try this utility, it's supposed to allow you to change the transparency of the task bar. I haven't tried it myself, as I quite like the task bar being opaque.

This only makes the entire taskbar transparent. I think what everyone wants is the blur gone.
