Just posted, it is coming on the September 17 2013.. http://www.rockstarg....html/#comments

Dear all,

Today, we have an official release date to share with you: Grand Theft Auto V will arrive in stores on September 17, 2013.

We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.

To all Grand Theft Auto fans, please accept our apologies for the delay, and our promise that the entire team here is working very hard to make the game all it can be. We are doing all we can to help ensure it will meet if not exceed your expectations come September – we thank you for your support and patience.

Yours,
The GTA Team

What is the point in releasing GTA V in September. It should have been a next gen launch title, I might hold off playing it incase it gets a next gen rerelease.

THe exact same thing I was thinking.. I could have sworn they were going to publish it as a next gen title.. this, well, it's just retarded.

I have played every GTA games but never finished any.

After a few hours of playing. Missions start to become repetitive.

Just my opinion....

It's incredible how terrible and flat the details in some of those shots :/
They need to release more blurry "action" and night shots!

I guess they figure everyone has a PS3 and 360 and that's where the sales are going to be. Progress has just been hindered, gentlemen..

How long is GTA usually in development for and how long have dev kits been around for new consoles?

Rockstar have already stated that they are not making GTAV for next gen. I don't see why people are so obsessed with having everything on next gen already...

What do you mean "what's the point"?!

The point is they've spent the last 5 years developing it on current-gen & can sell to an audience that next-gen won't have for years.

Why on Earth would they just dump a near complete project it to next-gen when they have no need for it. That would be stupid.

I'm wondering if I can wait long enough for the PC version.

I don't mind consoles but I love the mods that came out for GTA IV
