Craigslist and HTC HD2 refund

Recommended Posts

I sold my HTC HD2 phone on craigslist for $120 with 16GB micoSD card. I had no problem with it before selling it and tell the guy play around with it before buying it and it work fine. The next day the guy tells me that it has been locking up and wants a refund. I have no clue why it would happen with it. What should I do about this?

Forgot to put "no" problems

Haha, that's better. Anyway, you should have specified "no refunds" or some kind of agreement beforehand.

Did you write down the serial number? You know, to make sure he's not attempting to swap out the device?

Ebay's protection is through Paypal and it is a giant, giant joke.

Never had any problems using it, I bought an LCD screen for a netbook which never arrived, opened a case, the seller had to refund me, took a couple weeks but I got it

Only other time I've had problems was on my first ever sale where a Nigerian tried to scam my PSP sale claiming to want it sent to Nigeria when he lived in the US, and sent me a fake PP email saying he'd paid me

I upped all my security settings to block certain countries and categories and never had a problem since

Say all sales are final, you had the chance to look it over and try it before purchasing it. For all you know, he messed with it and broke it. Alot of people try to scam on that site, deal with it all the time. Just ignore em most likely is the best option for you.

Talk to my friend about this and he said that all sells are final. Does not matter if it breaks or if I was broke when he bought it. Just by him give me the money and taking the phone he except the phone as is. Lanham Act does not apply to craigslist.

In my experience eBay's "protection" is completely useless, if the seller does a good job of conning the Paypal advisor you're basically screwed. And paypal's support staff aren't exactly known for their smarts.

    • OK so SearXNG is a meta search engine that you can install locally or use via a public instance. It scrapes other search engines which you choose and then sorts the results. Not as complicated as multiple relays
    • The only difference here is that you think you came up with these reasons. You didn't. These age old fearmongering lies (that were NEVER true) were funded by and the anger stoked by Putin through proxies like Farage (and later in the USA, Trump) and filtered down through the skinheads, Neonazis, etc. until it reached the uninformed, ignorant, and gullible -- never realizing they were being played for fools against their own best interests. Even now, despite all of the EVIDENCE proving that Brexit was a terrible mistake for ALL citizens of the UK and that its supporters were tricked by Putin's proxies into sabotaging their own nation, you're still here defending these well-known lies as if they were ever true. Not only are they not true. They NEVER were. So, when are you going to realize that you were lied to and actually get angry at the liars and charlatans who lied to you, instead of blaming the innocent people they lied to you about?

    • Ooooh! Two editorial from Paul Hill on the same day! Is it my birthday or something? 😉 Okay, let's see if I get it right. SearXNG develops a meta-search engine app. Individuals install it on their relays. Users connect to these relays to have their own identity-stripping meta-search engine instead of relying on DuckDuckGo. And some of these volunteers have listed their SearXNG instances on SearX.space. That was a lot of wrap my head around. I hope I haven't missed anything.
