Xbox Durango Move engines and gpu detailed

I thought someone already made a thread about Durango's GPU but I can't seem to find it.

The gpu bit is older, the move engine stuff is new and interesting, if true.

yeah, the move engine info was posted today on vgleaks. They have all the info for the console, they asked people to vote which info they wanted first, ppl said gpu so they released that, move engines were voted second and they were uploaded today.

Yes, I'm aware that the info on Durango's move engines is new. And it's actually quite interesting. I wonder how much of a benefit it will yield in terms of performance.

I still think these numbers are off or not close. I strongly believe the next Xbox will have two versions. If this turns out true then the weaker numbers can be for the set-top box variant that won't be playing full Xbox games. The bigger version could have higher clocked hardware and or things the set-top box doesn't have at all. Only time will tell.

It sounds like at the least it'll be able to do more things in parallel per clock, in which case maybe the fact it's using slower ddr3 (if true), isn't such a big deal.

    • It's in Experimental (26H2). Settings->Windows Update->Windows Insider Program. Then a) select Experimental, b) below that, select "Advanced Options" (where you will see the three options for "Experimental" builds -> select 26H2 (name change from 25H2 is rolling; so might be 25H2)
