What game is this, and is it any good?

Yeah that's Hawken but as Enron said I've only ever watched people playing it, never played it myself. Does look pretty fun though :)

Hawken is free to play, and it runs well on older machines; so you should give it a try if you think it looks interesting. I have a Core 2 Duo and a 460GTX and I can play it no problem. it's also pretty fun.

Looks like Hawken big time. Think of it more as a FPS than a mech game. I enjoyed the game when I was playing it.

I tried Hawken and was majorly disappointed. I expected a mech game, instead I got a high speed twitch FPS game with no feel of piloting a giant heavy mech.

If you want to pilot big giant mechs, get the free to play Mechwarrior online:mercs.

But if you want a high speed twitch game, sure give Hawken a try, but you might as well play UT III it's better at it to :)

Have games really gotten slow enough to the point where you can use UT3(a game slowed down heavily from its predecessor) in the same sentence as 'high speed'?
