Question on a HP Software that came bundled on NEW Desktop

Question

Hi All

Do I need HP Support Assistant that came bundled with my Windows 7 x64bit PC, and should I reinstall it on upgraded Windows 8 Pro x64 PC?

If I need it, I got no problem reinstalling, just wanna make sure I really need it before I reinstall it

If it's anything like the HP desktop my mother bought you don't need anything on it. Hers was loaded with crapware. You should be fine blowing it away to install Win 8 on it and just install the drivers. (Make sure you download net drivers and store them elsewhere first. :))

Yeah did that already installed Windows 8 Pro 64bit with media center, just now deciding if I really need HP support Assistant or not, and a few other programs...Already removed Cyberlink Power2Go burner program, figured didn't need, and a million other crapwares) just one last program deciding on now, and should be good.

So far liking Windows Defender, despite the Protection and Detection of that Antiivrus scanner isn't the best. May look into Avast Antivirus possibly though, Actually had this Computer since June 2012, just sorting thru now what I really don't need software wise on here, (think of the cleanup as spring cleanup lol)
