Advice on mouse for large hands

Recommended Posts

Is it just me, or have mice started getting smaller and smaller? I need a mouse that fits comfortably in my large hands. I just got a new Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse and it's a bit small for my hands and not very comfy. I don't want a wireless mouse again. I have tried them several times and just don't want them. I also don't want a mechanical/gaming mouse. Just a basic one.

So if anyone knows a good mouse that will fit comfy in my large hands could you please link me?

Price: Undecided.

Thanx.

Falls into the gaming mouse category I think but personally went for a RAT 7 myself just because of its flexibility; you can adjust its weight, the mouse can be made longer, comes with three adjustable thumb grips, three pinkie grips, tweak it a bit and it's comfortable as all hell, build is very solid too.

The Microsoft Sidewinder X8 is a monster of a mouse, I used to have one, I have the Logitech G500 currently and it's fairly sizable.

I like Logitech. Is it possible to disable the extra buttons on the G500? I don't want to accidently bump them and cause unexpected results.

You ever think of a Top Ball Mouse??? I like them because I have a gell pad mouse pad that it sits on. So the only motion is in my fingers. And you don't have to worry about grab and move.

I have this mouse and it is great. - good amount of weight and comfortable to use for long periods of time. Someone else mentioned the Mad Catz - Rat 7, which I use on my gaming machine and also a really good mouse. My wife likes MMOs and uses the Razor Naga and this is comfortable as well.

I have 2 of those. Both are now worn out, but were a wee bit small for my hands. But not too bad. Guess I could just stick with that though.

I agree. Today's cheap Logitech mice (like the Logitech B100 :() wear out pretty fast, and are uncomfortable. Their designs in the early 2000s were good - you can still get OEM versions on eBay.

Best mouse I ever had that was large, heavy enough to stay flat and had a ball that didn't get gunked up and actually worked for months without having to clean it was this

The Logitech Mouseman Wheel

If they made the same exact mouse now, but with USB with laser tracking instead of ball I'd buy another.

The next mouse I really enjoyed for the longest time was the original Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer.

It was nice and big and chunky. My ape like hands felt at home on it.
