netsurfer802 Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 I had traded some of my computer parts for a Dell Inspiron Model # PP09L to which I've connected a universal adapter at 19V and also at 20V where it powers on but there is no display. I've also connected an external monitor from the back and have pressed the button on the keyboard while restarting it to have it notice the external monitor (numerous times) still with no display to the external monitor. Am I right in the assemption that it wouldn't do any good to get the exact designated Dell adapter as it specifies on the bottom model PP09 (19.5v 7.7a)? Also, to justify the costs of an adapter I need to know if it can have a GPS system run on it and it looks like any GPS free download I run across requires Win 7 ....so I don't even know if this laptop could be upgraded to use 1GB or more to meet the min. win 7 requirement.
