liquid cooling sugestions

Recommended Posts

ok i know nothing of liquid cooling and im wondering what you all use. Im looking at this kit . What do you all think of it? are there better options out? Im trying to stay under 200$. Also this seems to have 120mm fans. Where do you install your radiator? I have a cheiftech matrix case, and i dont see anywhere to put a 120mm except in 3 51/4 drive bays. This woulnt be a problem, except i only have 4 bays, one is used and the one other would be taken by the pump/relay etc.

Thats looks awsome to me.... On a lighter note I read in Maximum PC they want to cool a PC with a Slushy machine that would be cool you could play games AND get brain freeze at the same time... ohhh the joy of it all.....

haha "**** its leaking.... quick lick it up!!"

HAHAHA lick it up hmmm just dont get a shock LOL I have gotten electrocuted on my teeth before it REAAALLLYYY sucks I was out in the rain splicing some phone wire from the ummm well a box and I was stripping the wires with my teeth and lets just say there is more juice in those things then it looks LOL

they arent bad at all.... alot better than the h20-8500 kit cos of the larger radiator

id get it if i were you.....

as a quick edit

i run an innovatek set 3 kit (with a modded retention clip for future pelt ;) ) with a eheim pump(1048), 120mm rad and mcw40 gpu block

i have my 1st radiator at the front of my case (and the second will be in the drive bay area venting upwards)

for yours i suggest setting it up at the bacl.. see if you have the room to mount it though

other than that i suggest a h20-8500 kit with 2x 80mm radiators

I agree liquid cooling sounds too scary to me (im paranoid) I would use it if I could use a single tube of copper bent in a U shape where the bottom of the U touched the CPU and the tank and cooling and pump are external I could trust that (becouse it would be a one piece deal no o rings or fittings to leak) maybe they will make something like that some day for use people who are total liquid cooling chickens... hmmm maybe it could look like a block you set your comp on and the tube runs up throught the bottom of that case (so if it leaks it would be down and out) pull air in the front and blow it out the back of the unit... would have to be a weird peice of pipe to fit that a double bend... I will look at home depot tomaro LOL

with swiftech quick connets its ultra easy.. i have an mcw40 wb from them.. very good and doesnt leak

and depending on your setup ... usually easy as pie to get up and running

i suggest looking at the 3dgameman.com video review if you want more info ;)

3dgameman.com_videoreview_311_h20_8500_04_256k.wmv i believe

and ms agent

check out the idrastation or koolance systems if you want something like that

I was thinking about getting one of those thermaltake cases.. in my yearly upgrade.. any good?

i think there ugly imho. Im very happy with my matrix case, it looks bad as hell with let lights in the front casting blue light through the grill, plus it has all the cooling i need, where as the thermal take cases ive seen seem lacking in places for fans.

Not a bad kit, considering everything that comes with it. Only problem is that's it's kinda expensive and the installation instructions are in German. :D

LOL, accually I shouldn't be laughing :( . A few years ago I wired a phone line in my house and it seemed the phone wouldn't work on it. I took the phone wire and looked at it. When my family wasn't looking I put it to my tonuge and well.....I got a good shock! Didn't know how much juice was in there (Still isn't as much as a power plug, don't ask how I know  )
