My friend wants to bring her xbox to her family in Jordan. Besides the electricity issue I am pretty sure Jordan uses PAL. Is there away of converting the xbox signal from ntsc to pal?

Didn't think it really mattered anymore with digital signals like HDMI, I know there are NTSC and PAL versions of HD but when you got HDMI I thought everything was negotiated

First thing, Jordan is 230V, so you'll need a different power adapter. Second, I don't believe the Xbox 360 has any region lock on it, but I could be wrong. I believe if you play a PAL version of a game, it will work on whatever Xbox, assuming you have it outputting to a PAL compatible TV. But if that's the case, it would mean none of your games will work. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't traveled with an Xbox before, haha.

You could get an NTSC to PAL converter, but it is probably cheaper, and a lot easier, just to give up.
