Okay so there was a problem with shipping...

So my video card got held up which got me thinking for a bit. Since my video card was held up I was going thru bookmarks deleting links since everything else is already purchased. I ended up coming across a video card I was considering that was less than the one I actually ordered. So my question is, for someone that doesn't really PC game at all and when I do it won't be Crysis 3, is the card I ordered worth it? Or should I just go with my first choice? I might do some video editing (ripping blurays to 4gb MP4s) and that's really it. Which would you all go with? Don't wanna go overkill for something I'd never use.

The card I ordered...

The card I chose first...

And no I don't care about the free games.

Edit: I have added security on my card and my girlfriend who ordered the parts with my card entered the wrong security password and it canceled the entire order, I just got the email. It messed up the video card and SSD order. <~Just FYI

The one you bought has one of the best price-to-performance ratios of all GPUs available, so I think you made a good choice.

And it looks like the 7850 gets over twice the performance of the 7750, so you're quite a bit more future-proofed with the 7850.

If you don't play game the 7850 might be overkill.

What is your cpu ? The igp of your cpu might actually be enough.

No I really don't I was converted to a console gamer. My CPU is a FX 8150

Thanks for that link!

Well the 8150 doesn't have any igp i think so it's not an option.

If you have enough money for the 7850 it's not a bad choice even if you don't really play games. It's a great card to have just in case. The problem with the 7750 is it's sort of expensive for what it is. Yes you save 100$ but you get a card that cannot play any game for the most part. A 7770 might be a good in between option.

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates.
