Deadline reports that Blum is moving ahead with plans for a sequel to Sinister. The original starred Ethan Hawke (Gattaca) as a true crime novelist who discovers a box of disturbing home movies that, when watched, drag his family into a living nightmare. The cast and plot for the sequel are currently being kept under wraps. Writers Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill will return to pen the sequel; though Derrickson also directed the original, it’s not clear whether or not he’ll helm the next installment. Blum and Derrickson will produce the picture.

wtf? Sinister was literally one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Do people really liked it?

Could have been a lot better but wasn't bad and was actually better than most of the horror films I have seen in the last 18 months. I'd take a sinister 2 over another paranormal activity any day.

It was watchable until the latest 15 minutes when it became a comedy. I mean, seriously, THAT ENDING! Should we be scared of the member of a black metal band?
