Radeon Catalyst 3.9 driver comment

For anyone using a mid - high end Pentium 4 system and a Radeon 9500 Pro graphics card you may benefit from the new Catalyst 3.9 drivers.

I have a P4 2.0 gig system with 1 gig of memory and the Radeon 9500 Pro 128 vid card.

With the 3.8 drivers installed on the Windows XP Pro machien I found little glitches every now and then, for example, with Halo whenever I ran it in 1024x768x32 mode and I had radical texture changes it stuttered for about 1 - 3 seconds. Or when explosions in Halo filled the screen. Also with other programs like DVD, Graphic and various rendering proggies I had bits of lag as well.

With a clean install of the 3.9 drivers they are all but gone. I even noticed that the lag I used to get in Halo when loading new textures was better as well.

Just a heads up for those who were leary about upgrading.
