At work today, we got onto the subject of funeral music. So I thought it might be cool/creepy (your choice) to see what music choices people have encountered at funerals, and what you would like as your music.

Now, I want to be cremated, which encompasses 3 music changes usually. If your funeral/cremation is different then that's fine.

So here goes:

For my cremation (if it gets to that stage):

walk in music - Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever

During casket into fire - Metallica - Blackened

walk out music - Lynyrd Skynrd - Freebird

Probably a medley of Justin Bieber and Katie Perry just to make everyone regret outliving me :p

Honestly though, as morbid as it sounds, I think about this a lot and I just can't settle on any songs :(

EDIT: Ohh also thought I'd point out that I want to be cremated too, (Don't Fear) The Reaper would be kinda cool I suppose.

I'd be happy with Chopin's Marche funèbre.

I don't think I would want any song, all it's going to do is force people who loved you to remember your funeral whenever they hear it.

If I had to have one it would be something stupid, maybe scatman or that chicken dance song

I'm pretty eccentric, so I wouldn't want my funeral to be conventional. My plan is to record a video of myself miming to Agadoo while dressed in a ludicrous outfit:

I'm thinking indoor fireworks, strobe lighting and having it catered by McDonald's, including a fry party:

I also want to be cremated. My funeral is going to be a big party. Crying and carrying on isn't going to be allowed. It's in my will. I've already set aside cash for the entire thing. An entire all-nighter.

Walk in music - Colt Ford - Cold Beer

Loading casket into fire - Colt Ford - Ride Through the Country

Walk out music - Colt Ford - Answer to No One

I want to be buried, if there is a mistake and I'm not actually dead, I would prefer to wake up in a coffin and run out of oxygen than wake up in an oven and burn to death

I want church music played at my funeral. It has a dead sound to it.
