Are we allowed to "backup" our movies (BR/DVD) on SkyDrive?

I'm uncertain if it's allowed as I don't want to lose my account.

can you, yes, is it against the terms of service, also yes. Being that they have no way to prove that you actually own them they will tag it as pirated materials and either delete it or tag your account.

Zip and password them with a locked achieve and encrypted file names or encrypt them before uploading them

Name them things like photos backup
