[UK] Current high-end unlocked phone models?

Recommended Posts

By high-end, I mean over ?300 (price must be unlocked).

There are many, it seems!

So far, I think they're:

  • Sep 2012 - Apple iPhone 5 16GB (?530 from Apple)
  • Nov 2012 - Google/LG Nexus 4 16GB (?320 from Amazon)
  • Nov 2012 - Nokia Lumia 920 16GB (?473 from Amazon)
  • Feb 2013 - Sony Xperia Z 16GB (?490 from Amazon)
  • Feb 2013 - Blackberry Z10 16GB (?420 from Amazon)
  • Apr 2013 - Motorola RAZR HD 16GB (?410 from Amazon)
  • Apr 2013 - HTC One 32GB (?490 from Phones4u)
  • Apr 2013 - Samsung Galaxy S4 16GB (?580 from Amazon UK)

Am I missing any?

EDIT: Added a few more.

Price edit

Does price really define high-end? I know it's a one off (in that it should cost a lot more than it does), but what about the Nexus 4? I've always considered it a high end handset?

It does define high-end, but I've lowered what I consider to be "high-end" to ?300+ and added the Nexus 4 for you :p

Welllllll in that case, just about any Vertu handset

On a serious note, Lumia 920?

And, although it was marketed as a high end phone, I believe it didn't do anywhere near as well as hoped so likely not to be considered - the Moto RAZR i.

I think that's about it. The Oppo Find 5 looks OK too, and the Lumia 920 probably too if you don't mind Windows Phone (which still is a limited OS when compared to Android or iOS, whether you guys like it or not).

    • It's so stupid that you have to "enroll" in these extended updates.

    • Too late for a slightly older computer I had that didn't meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11 but had great hardware. I installed ubuntu on that thing and gave to a friend's kid.
