Burn MP4/AVI to DVD disc?

Question

I've got a bunch of MP4 and 1 AVI file to burn to DVD for a friend, and I would like to be able to have these play on a DVD player but I don't know any reputable software to use for this and I'm having a hard time finding one that it looks like I can trust. Are there any Neowinians who have experience with this and know any good programs?

Thanks :)

You can burn directly to DVD from DVD Flick. It includes ImgBurn. You can also create a DVD disc image and use other software to burn it.

DVD Flick works great, but note (as with any DVD creation program), bitrate (and therefore overall video quality) depends on the quality of the source and how much content (hours of video) you want to put on a single disc.

I am in the process of trying some other software too:

- Format Factory (freeware)

- DVDStyler (freeware and opensource)

- Freemake Video Convertor (freeware but not sure if it has spyware/addware)

Will post about how it goes sometime within the next day or two.

I used DVDStyler in the end. It offers the same quality video output as DVD Flick and is super easy to create great DVD menus with. I used VLC to take snapshots of my video, and set them as the menu background - the result looks very professional.

I also tried Nero/Sonic, but they couldn't compare with DVDStyler's/DVD Flick's output video quality (surprisingly).

Burn discs at 2x speed max though (for compatibility with all DVD players - yes, I had issues with a particular Pioneer unit), and don't use cheap media if you want your DVDs to last.

    • never mind the video had a couple swear words... gosh it was funny!
    • It's expensive, but I bet it will still sell out just like the Steam Deck and the Steam Controller
    • This is listed as a preview in WU for me. I usually don't grab them as previews; what's your opinion on it so far?
