The Windows 8 Start Screen never existed before Windows 8, so I created a fictional evolution of it. :)

I did this because it would be cool idea to see what the Start Screen would look like back then!

Very well.

However, with all due respect, your designs aren't necessarily indicative of what it may have looked like during those time periods. The current feature is designed with tablet PCs in mind (a device hardly used in the 9x era), and underwent some stylistic differences prior to its first appearance in Windows 8.

This is a more accurate creation. All the icons also there in pifmgr.dll  :p
