Elliot B.
My partner updated her iPhone 4S to the iOS 7.0.3 update that was released this evening. Since that, she has noticed that when she opens apps, they fade open and fade close, rather than the zoom that has existed for a few years. Is this an iOS 7.0.3 thing? It's not mentioned in the "changelog".
SMELTN
If she has Reduce Motion turned on they will "fade" if she does not they will zoom
Elliot B.
If she has Reduce Motion turned on they will "fade" if she does not they will zoom Ah, I see. Weird though, that option was disabled on her phone a few weeks ago in order to save battery life. After updating to 7.0.3, she feels the animation changed. No idea :D
Roger H. Veteran Posted October 23, 2013 Veteran Share Posted October 23, 2013 The zooming thing is in this change. Motion sickness complaints had apple disable it if you turn off the parallax setting in accessibility. So yeah, it's a new feature of this update. It also removes all of the zooming transition animations that were making people sick (if you enable the option to reduce motion effects within iOS?s accessibility settings) and fixes several bugs. http://bgr.com/2013/10/22/ios-7-0-3-download-link-released/

No idea :D There was a change to reduced motion: Enhances the Reduce Motion setting to minimize both motion and animation I'd have to imagine that's what's causing it, as the change allows there to be basically no motion animation on the phone. Denis W. Veteran Posted October 23, 2013 Veteran Share Posted October 23, 2013 I didn't have complaints about the zooming effect, but after having Reduce Motion enabled for a while I'm sold. App switching is quick and snappy. :D Elliot B. 1 Share
