Phouchg
tips are more for fun than for serious business :D Serious. I travel abroad rarely, but when I do, I make it a point to have some handy reference on that country's customs and stuff rather than wandering in a devil may care fashion. If I was driving myself, even more so. Emergency numbers, too. 112 is not universal, is it? Skynetz 1 Share

GreenMartian
112 is not universal, is it? Most modern mobile phone operators will redirect 112 to whatever the local emergency number is. Not necessarily the case for landlines. Here's Australia, for example: Dialling 112 directs you to the same Triple Zero (000) call service and does not give your call priority over Triple Zero (000). 112 is an international standard emergency number which can only be dialled on a digital mobile phone. It is accepted as a secondary international emergency number in some parts of the world, including Australia, and can be dialled in areas of GSM network coverage with the call automatically translated to that country?s emergency number. It does not require a simcard or pin number to make the call, however phone coverage must be available (any carrier) for the call to proceed. Dialling 112 from a fixed line telephone in Australia (including payphones) will not connect you to the emergency call service as it is only available from digital mobile phones. http://www.triplezero.gov.au/Pages/Usingotheremergencynumbers.aspx So yeah, this app can be very useful if you had minimal time to plan a trip and want important information collated for you with little effort on your part. Kudos to the app creators. I'm sure quite some people will find it useful. Skynetz and Phouchg 2 Share
