Script Error - Install

Hello.

 

I have tried sfc/ scannow and disk check.

 

Tried installing as admin.

 

Not working.

 

I am trying to install winsysclean 4 and keep getting this error.

Any idea on how to fix?

First guess would be something wrong with the installer, is there any way of getting another installer for it?

Because I own 4.

 

It does the same with 5 also.

Because it was possible that you were unaware of 5 and that it fixed the issue.

 

With that out of the way, try the following:

• Install 7zip or some other extraction tool.
• Extract the wsc_x4_vxxxxx_setup.exe to a folder (for clarification, this is the compressed setup file)
• Try running wsc_x1.exe directly from there for the install and see what happens (this should be one of the files in the extracted directory)

The idea is to try uncompress the setup yourself to perhaps get past the part of the install process that is failing.

Already did this with WinRar v5.01

 

I have emailed their support.

 

They take a long time usually to reply.

The only other thing I have at the moment is trying:

wsc_x4_vxxxxx_setup.exe /l=C:\path\to\log.txt

And seeing if the log gives any indication as to why the error occurred.

I restored an image to the 9th December 2013, when I uninstalled it to try 15.

 

When I installed 15 that was when error cam firstly at line 182.

 

Then I tried again with 14 and got next message.

 

If I get a reply from the authors I will restore an image to yesterday and try their solution if it works, I will post it up.
