VOIP Software

Hi,

 

 I need a VOIP software similar to skype. The reason I want to abandon skype is because of privacy issues (below link)

I need opinions from personal experience and expertise on which other software can provide

 

- VOIP

- Video Conferencing

- P2P direct streaming of the sessions

- Good if having desktop sharing

 

The concern here is privacy and video chat. I'm trying to check Ekiga, but it is having some issues with cross platform compatibility. If anyone who has tested any such VOIP software, then please advise. :)
