Brian Miller
Can I use Time Machine to auto backup one specific folder ONLY to an SD card using Apple's Time Machine application? I've just tried Time Machine and I think it wants to try to back up my entire drive (500 GB) to my 64 GB SD card and so Time Machine failed. I only want to back up my work folder which has just a few GBs worth of files. Can anyone offer a solution to better configure TimeMachine? #Michael
Time machine is good for backing up the entire drive but doesn't have many configurable options. It sounds like you are looking for a program like super duper or carbon copy cloner. My personal choice is ccc: http://www.bombich.com/

Gotenks98
You can use time machine for this purpose you just have to configure the options to exclude everything but the folder(s) you want. I use this all the time to trim down what gets backed up. Albert 1 Share
