Late breaking story but we have confirmation that Windows Phone 8.1 has finalized today, at least the Core team. That?s still not technically an RTM because the CXE team still needs to work out a few bugs, which will happen over the next couple of weeks.

 

Microsoft is expected to unveil Windows Phone 8.1 next week during Build, where we will bring you the latest coverage live. The Developer Preview release though has been delayed by about a week from the original plan. Still, developers in attendance are expected to get a surprise or two to take home.

nice to see, in about a week or two we should get our developer preview builds to play with.

It sucks that the developer preview has been delayed but not by much, probably a few more bugs then they expected showed up, I can wait another week or so.  People at build might get something early though, I'm betting on a updated/final SDK and maybe a developer phone with 8.1?
