+John Teacake MVC Posted April 8, 2014 MVC Share Posted April 8, 2014 Not sure exactly what you mean but there are many sites where you can buy legal template letters.
Nick H. Supervisor Posted April 8, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted April 8, 2014 This discussion seems oddly familiar. Ah, here is why. And here as well  It would help if we had a context for the situation. Is this a personal letter or a formal letter? Are you writing on behalf of a company, or are you personally being asked to acknowledge your association with the person? Personally I always go with the idea that so long as you are understood in the letter, there doesn't need to be a strict format to follow. But again, it depends on why you are being asked to provide such a letter. hackdoom 1 Share
Deep_Level_Shark
It would help if we had a context for the situation. Here context is little different. I am helping to write this letter on behalf of a person. what is required is to write a heirship kind of letter to a councilor of the locality and get it approved from him and submit to the government. This will help that person to receive government amenities which are stuck after his father died. This does not require any court/advocate stuff. only a plain simple letter format should be enough. English is not our first language. all I require a format of a succession letter so that I can customize it.
Nick H. Supervisor Posted April 9, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted April 9, 2014 If you don't need to bother with the technical jargon then I would offer the following: <date> To whom it may concern, I, <insert name here>, am writing to confirm that I know the <family name here> family through <son's full name here>, and that I am aware of <father's name here>'s passing on <date of death here>. I can confirm that <son's name here> is currently residing at <son's address here> and that he is the only heir to <father's name here>. Regards, <space for signature> <insert name here> I don't know if that covers everything needed, but that would be the sort of letter I would probably write. Deep_Level_Shark
>>>family through <son's full name here> this does not look ok...because family is already known to him for a long time ...not just through son's .............. can we write this part better way ? Nick H. Supervisor Posted April 10, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted April 10, 2014 I don't understand what you mean. You mean you knew the family before you knew the son? Then you would just replace <son's full name here> with whoever it is in the family that you met first.
