Pulagatha
What do you guys think of this? I think the Weather Tile looks great. Even though Live Tiles show dynamic content, you cannot interact with them. Microsoft Research is working on ways to include interactivity to Live Tiles. In the video demo below, they show a huge Live Tiles which has shortcuts to opened Office document files, when you tap the specific file, the file gets opened. There is a large mail app?s Live Tile which shows the list of recent mail, and when you tap the specific mail, it gets opened. http://microsoft-news.com/microsoft-research-working-on-interactive-live-tiles-on-windows-watch-the-video-demo-of-it/ Edited April 11, 2014 by zhangm Added excerpt from source. Bryan R.
Very nice. Similar to how I had my email widget on my Android only I can imagine this doing much more. The desktop interactive tile is very impressive. And OMG, seriously, a working calculator on your start screen? When the hell can I get this?! Max Norris
Very cool, hopefully gets implemented in the OS in the reasonably near future.. looks useful as hell. MS Research comes up with some neat ideas. Pulagatha and DConnell 2 Share

Sekyal
Yes this definitely adds more to the tiles. It makes them more like widgets, but far more useful widgets and easy to put out of the way if you wish. The videos were pulled so it makes you think that they aren't sure of providing this feature in the next version - either that or they wanted to surprise us. Guess we'll have to stay tuned.
