2 routers:

1 Wifi N - Belkin just for the wireless in the home.

1 repurposed corporate router/firewall now turned into PfSense for my DHCP, DNS, and so forth.

1 16-port network switch almost filled up.

One router/network hub...

It receives internet, I have two PCs hooked up to it, which both get internet and can share files.

1 router (to be fair my modem is actually a gateway, router functions disabled so I can run a better router)

2 switches (10 port of main systems and a 4 port that supplies the rooms upstairs with wired ethernet)

1 access point (counted this as a switch because it functions similarly to one, with both wired connections and repeating wireless on the opposite side of my house for better coverage and wireless stability)

All network devices are gigabit, with most systems on the network (save for 1-2 old ones) running gigabit network cards.

Voted 1, 1 and OMG, as most of what are called routers also perform duties of a network switch, among myriad of other things for the sake of convenience. A clarification is needed if you meant separate physical devices. I might have missed that one, but I doubt it. Also, where did you get your whole array of 1 GB pumping stuff, while the rest of us mostly live with measly 1 Gb(-it)?

Anyway, my one and only little shiny box over there serves me as a router... aaaaaand two wireless APs (secured main and unsecured bandwidth-capped guest), a barely, but still manageable switch, a rudimentary firewall, a DHCP server and an FTP server (a small external HDD is connected to both its USB ports for the least troublesome file sharing). But most of the time just sits blinking its annoying lights and letting through my and everyone else's silly ramblings and pictures of shibes. Like... most of them, actually.

- Repeater, cuz it being my ISP equipment, it's wireless range is horrible

1 ADSL2+ Modem/router (Netgear DGND3300)(19Mbps sync) for:

- PS3

- Backup line, for those cases where the other line is used up

1x Router

5x Gigabit Switches

Switch 1 connects to the router, then connected to switch 1 are the other 4x switches which are located in different rooms of the house.

Depending on the room either PC's, Consoles or HTPC's will be wired up to the network.
