#Michael
Quick backend story: 1. New house I just bought and moved into 2. House is wired for cat5e home runned back into garage 3. Room acting as office will house all of the computer equipment I am looking for a computer/server cabinet that will house everything and be functional but I want it to look nice. Almost like it is a piece of furniture. I was thinking of something like this: http://www.target.com/p/threshold-windham-accent-cabinet/-/A-14395597#prodSlot=medium_1_3 Any ideas? tim_s
Hi, I am confused because you are looking for a functional server cabinet but linked to a target wood cabinet and please don't take this the wrong way but the two ideals are not that aligned. As you can see in my signature I have ran my version of a home server in a Corsair Obsidian and be-it not the prettiest of cases, it can tuck in roughly unnoticed in the background. I am sorry if I am not being helpful but trying to assist if I can.
goretsky Supervisor Posted June 21, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted June 21, 2014 Hello, I have seen some home-made racks on various "IKEA hacker" web sites, but for something like a room you are going to be spending time in, I would think that you would want a sound proof data cabinet, which are typically finished to look like office furniture (cabinet, etc.). neo1911
I like low profile cabinets. I have Corsair Carbide 330R. Minimalist non intrusive design and doesnt reek of geekiness. Perfect for a server too.
