Update: The launch timing for the PlayStation Plus Starter Pack has not been confirmed, but will be coming in the near future. Please stay tuned for more information on a release date.

Last week we announced that Blacklight: Retribution is coming out of Beta tomorrow, and we’re thrilled to share with you what we’ve been up to since the launch in November. Along with revealing new maps, a new weapon, and some cool new streaming capabilities, we’re happy to finally reveal our PlayStation Plus Starter Packs.

As a PlayStation Plus member, you’ll automatically receive the Starter Pack in the near future, which includes the Burstfire SMG, Revival Injector, and 250 ZCoins to spend on PlayStation Store. Head into customization to equip your items, and you’re ready to go!

PlayStation Trophies have also arrived, and we’re just as excited as you are to start earning them. Currently the Blacklight: Retribution Trophy count stands at twenty, and we plan to add more as future patches are released. Several of our team favorites include:

  • Who Needs Friends?: Earned by completing 20 matches of Deathmatch.
  • Toasty: Earned by killing 10 Hardsuits with a Flamethrower.
  • Breadwinner: Get this one by earning 50,000 GP.
  • This Is My Rifle: Add this to your shelf by fully customizing a primary weapon.

We can’t wait to see everyone start racking these up! As a reminder to all our Beta players, the Zcoin you purchased during the Beta period will be refunded to you as promised, so make sure to check your account in the coming week. You also may recall that stats, progress, earned items, and everything else will be maintained from Beta to full release — so there’s no need to worry that you’ll have to start completely over tomorrow.

Lastly, and most importantly, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all fans, players, and supporters of Blacklight: Retribution. The feedback and data we collected during Beta truly improved the game, and it would not have happened without you all! From the entire team, thank you!

Thanks, then it's time to look into it, as am craving a shooter on PS4. It is better than the original Blacklight, right?

I'm just not feeling this game. I'm not big on shooters in the first place and this one doesn't seem to offer anything appealing to me.

The original Blacklight Tango Down was as generic as can be - and this is the kind of criticism i hate leveling at any work, because it's a cheap shot. But it was true. Will still try Retribution, i think it's quite different from the first one.

Hey started playing it and it's awesome! For a F2P FPS this is good stuff! The action is nice and solid, good mix of Counter Strike and COD in terms of feel. Looks like there's tons of stuff to customize your agent with, though of course it's for the modest price of $5 for 500 game money. But it's fun, and i may support it. Love the taunts hahaha, the one with the wagging finger is just awesome.
