ultimate99
A used nokia lumia 920 for about $140, worth it?
jakem1
If it's in good condition then definitely. The 920 is still a great phone despite its age.
badb0y
Nope. Not worth it at all. Ask yourself, if it was too good, why did the original user decided to sell it?
Ironman273
When my old 920 broke I was looking for a phone and I found a refurbished Lumia on eBay for $120. It's worked well for me so far. Got it from these guys: http://www.ebay.com/usr/deal.fisher?_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754 This seems to be the cheapest listing, which is about the same price you're getting:
Ironman273
Nope. Not worth it at all. Ask yourself, if it was too good, why did the original user decided to sell it? What? So anything good is never for sale? That makes no sense. +E.Worm Jimmy 1 Share

bankajac
Again. Nobody likes to sell something really "good". Huh?
Ironman273
Again. Nobody likes to sell something really "good". I have (for example) 105 Rolls Royces listed for sale within 100 miles of my house. That's just an example, I'm sure it would be similar with any other "good" car (or other item). Also, thinking about something good you were looking for, there are tons of flash drives (Patriot, SanDisk, etc.) for sale on eBay. Did you buy a bad flash drive? sanctified Veteran Posted July 12, 2014 Veteran Share Posted July 12, 2014 Again. Nobody likes to sell something really "good". huh? this is completely illogical. How about people who got into debt or compulsive spenders that sell their stuff just to get something new?
zhangm Supervisor Posted July 12, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted July 12, 2014 Again. Nobody likes to sell something really "good". Plenty of instances in which something "good" is sold. No sense to sell something when its value of retention exceeds its perceived value of sale.
ultimate99
This phone would still get the latest updates from Microsoft despite it's 2 years old, right? Unlike other manufactures when they ditch the updates on android devices down the road...

Unlike other manufactures when they ditch the updates on android devices down the road... Yes, Microsoft support upto 18 months or lately I also heard about 36 months security update support. Though at least 18 months support is better than Android.

thechronic
Nope. Not worth it at all. Ask yourself, if it was too good, why did the original user decided to sell it? Perhaps someones upgraded or upgrading to a Lumia Icon/930 for example and no longer wants the 920 - doesn't mean it's no good if they're selling it -.-

articuno1au
You can get the developer preview simply by signing up. There are instructions all over the net and 8.1 dramatically improves the phone. post haste means with great speed >.< Quickly for the normal people amongst us :p
Nashy
From personal experience, I'd be looking at seeing if you can find a 925 for that price. It's a better phone IMO.

From personal experience, I'd be looking at seeing if you can find a 925 for that price. It's a better phone IMO. I tried, but no attractive prices. Besides, read that build quality on the 920 is superior to the 925. OdorSleuth
thanks, but what?^ Part of the reason I intend on shelling out about $200 for a Windows Phone 8 is for the developer preview of Windows Phone 8.1, which has a bunch of cool new features like "Cortana", or Microsoft's Siri. It's actually pretty neat, and it's relatively realistic too. And it has open app development! Kind of. You have to open your phone to it one time from your computer, but after that, you can download and install third party applications as you please; not that there are many out there yet!
