lol leave it him to douche out

not bad:

He also calls out Jon CryerAshton Kutcher and nemesis Chuck Lorre to meet his challenge. Watch the video ... he doesn't seem hostile toward them.

The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head or donating to the ALS Association in the United States. It went viral throughout social media in summer, 2014.

Source

I can't be sure as I only heard about this idea the other day, but from reading that above it sounds like he did go through with it, he chose to donate instead of drenching himself. Then again, for all I know the people that put ice water over themselves may have donated anyway.

$10,000...I wonder how that compares to other donations? Not that any donation is something to turn your nose up at, mind.

According to the ALS Association, from July 29 to August 14 almost 146,000 donors contributed $7.6 million, or an average of $52 each. Charlie's $10k is a good chunk of change.

I don't even think that Bill Gates donated more than $10,000 dollars... damn... I thought Charlie Sheen was broke with his addiction to drugs.

For switching money and not using water is what I meant.

not bad.    could have had a second bucket with actual (ice) water

(i am not sure all who participate actually use ice water, i bet most just use room temp water, as it is impossible to verify)

donating 10k seems appropriate. i wish we will see all the celebrities who participated compiled in a list with $$$ figures they donated!

In the end it still creates awareness to the cause and that's what it is really all about. I have donated more than $52.00 :)

Ice or Cash or Mud it doesn't matter as long as it continues to create a challenge that gets viewed and passed on then it effectively is "ice water" in my eyes.

Good Job Sheen. He is more charitable than most people realize. All we sometimes see his is over the top antics or comments but as far as being a charitable guy he is better than most of his counterparts in Hollywood.
