Question
LaP
Hi!
I'm looking for a music creation app for a personal project but i'm a n00b and don't have a midi keyboard. I can play piano and guitar but i'm not very good at both of them. I can read parts. What would be best for a n00b wanting to create music with a mouse and querty keyboard? The result doesn't need to be pro it's for a personal project i'll use as portfolio material. I don't mind reading guides after i decided which app i'm gonna use. I mostly want to create simple music/beat using an easy to use step sequencer. I know there's lot of simple free ones but since entry level daw are not expensive i don't mind paying for something that can do more just in case as long as it is easy to use. So what do you guys suggest? Magix Music Maker 2014, Cakewalk Music Creator 6 Touch, Mixcraft 6, Reaper, Sonar X3 or ACID Music Studio 10 (they are all around 60$ to buy)? Something else? It needs to be between 50 and 100$ and easy to use for someone without much knowledge. BTW stupid question do i absolutely need a midi keyboard or i can get along with m and kb for a personal project nobody will ever see save for maybe some interviewers.
Don't ask about the project it's personal and i'm not willing to show it ;)
Ty for the advice.
