giantpotato
So, my SSD decided to die on me and simply does not show up when connected to any PCs. I have been using Windows Home Server 2011 to backup the drive, but now I'm unable to restore from the backups. Every time I try I get an error and the restore fails. The restore works fine for the backups created of one of my other pcs. WHS stores the backups in Data4096.xx.dat files; I found a tool online whdbdatadump that is supposed to be able to manually extract data from the .dat but I get a Overflow exception every time I try to use it. (2nd screenshot). I have my important data backed up to the cloud, so this for non-essential stuff in my documents, like game save files which I don't really need, but it would be nice if I could recover them. Anyone have any ideas about what's wrong with the recovery, or if there's a way to extract my data from the .dat files?
