I'm trying to find out if there is something available like Steam In-Home Streaming that isn't restricted to Steam.
Basically I have 2 computers a Apple Macbook and a PC that is suitable for gaming, i just never get to use it as it is my HTPC hooked up to my main TV, mainly used for console style gaming or Plex. I want to be able to mirror my desktop similar to steam.
I was thinking down the lines of being able to AirPlay my HTPC (Windows 8.1) desktop to my mac...
I know there is a 'workaround' for steam in home streaming by loading notepad and then closing it for full desktop access. I've found this to be slow on games outside of steam and you also loose things like controller support...
Kinda like VNC but without the slowness and restrictions.
tl;dr I want my Windows 8.1 Desktop on my mac so i can work on Windows as if its native on my laptop, such as playing games.
