Is there a way to make my folder layout the same for EVERY folder instead of folder types?

The "Apply to Folders" doesn't seem to be effective enough. I like all my folders in detail view showing date and size, and nothing else. "Apply to Folders" in the view menu only applies it to folders containing similar files. So essentially I have to apply this to every folder I have. Is there a universal "Apply to Folders" option somewhere so that every one of my folders look the same?
