Guardians of the Galaxy - "item you tried to rent no longer available" iTunes UK

Hi,

 

I'm trying to rent Guardians of the Galaxy from the iTunes UK store, but whenever I click rent, I get the message "The item you tried to rent is no longer available".

 

How can this be possible since it just came out? I tried signing out and back in again, switching stores and switching back, and trying on iTunes Mac and Apple TV.

 

Any ideas?

I can think of a few 'other' ways of getting it, ;)

No, I don't have an Amazon account, nor a Plex server.

 

I just find it strange the option to click "rent" is there if you can't actually do it.

I would suggest asking Apple support the question. While other people here can possibly confirm if the issue is happening to them as well, Apple support would probably be able to resolve your problem far quicker. ;)

Hey I've been having the same problem today. Updated my macbook to OS X Yosemite tonight and I'm now able to rent it. Hope that helps you.

Already on Yosemite sadly, but will try renting it again today.
